St Croix heading back up – here we go again

St Croix water elevation graph was on its way down for all of two days, it hit 681.6′ and did an abrupt turn to the north and started back up. Looks like we are in for one of those springs of up and down, roller coaster, water levels. The water temp took a nose dive too – it was 60 degrees and in one day it dropped to 54 degrees.

Well everything is sure nice and green. I guess you can’t catch fish if your hook isn’t in the water. I’m heading out the next couple of nights and chase some channel catfish and see if I can find an early season flathead cat. Twins are playing Chicago – nothing like a good Twins game and some late night catfishing.

You mean a Twins game and some good late night catfishing..don’t you.

I was watching P2 and 3 yesterday…did the same thing with the water temps…61…then dropped to the mid 50’s…

I’m going to quit looking at the temps, flow and levels….and go fishing!

Gotta have confidence and those numbers aren’t helping!

Lighten Up, Brian. The cats are in a good prespawn bite now and this little weather pattern won’t hurt it. Positive vibes!! Positive vibes!! Just run and gun right now and keep hitting spots till you find them. Dress warm, have the rain gear handy, and go gettem.

No it’s not the cat bite Steve…just if the Twins keep losing…they might not get a new stadium..
