All that weekend rain is pushing the Croix up pretty fast. Might have to hit some of those high water spots this afternoon.

Do you have a link to the water level on the St. Croix

Here you go! The river reading is taken at the Stillwater bridge. Normal pool elevation is 675′. No Wake restrictions go on at 683′. St Croix River Reading

Hopefully it stops raining, otherwise I might not be heading to the croix this weekend. If the water keeps coming up we will have to troll everywhere with the no wake restriction.

I just checked and the river is just shy of 682′. I keep watching that darn graph and it looks like it may be set to crest at or just above 682′. I hate this high water, it screws up the cat fishing.

Sorry about your cats, Comanchero – but this high water is excellent for the Walleye bite.

Amen to the walleye bite. Can always go cattin in the summertime…. Would be great in my book if the no wake was on for the weekend. Might drive even more away from the river, which means, more for me!!!!!!!

Water temps are on the rise, hopefully that means more aggressive fish! I will find out tomorow.
