Weather on Sat

Long range forecast doesnt look too bad. 20% chance of showers, partly cloudy and 63. No wind forecast yet. That is the one thing I hope doesn’t get out of control.

No wind? Come on Suzuki, I know you like back trolling into 3 footers. Weather looks pretty solid, it’s getting close……

I’ll do it on opener but I would really rather not work so hard.

I was out Saturday night for a little catfishing. Water level then was 681.2′ and the islands were still flooded and the river was out of its banks. Water temp was 56 degrees and seems to be holding there. I got one northern on cut shad but there was a lot of white bass action going on.
I just checked the river level and it is now 680.2′ so it is down a foot in 2 days. By this Saturday she could be at 679′ to 678′ and the river should be back within its banks. That is when I seem to have my best luck. It gets the fish back out of all that drowned timber and cover but still holding close to shore cover spots.
There was a bit of grass floating in the current in some spots. I hope all that crud from the shallower weedy backwaters doesn’t start to break loose and start floating.
