St. Croix River motel

    I hale from NW/NC MN and I am looking for a decent hotel to stay at in the Stillwater area when I come to fish the river. The Super 8’s are fine but their prices are up there on the weekends. Any help with motels name and possible number would be great!

    Consider searching Hudson, WI. It’s a 10 minute drive to Stillwater or you can launch right here in town. The I94 stretch through Hudson has 4-5 places such as Hudson House, Holiday Inn Express and others.

    It’s not the best in the West but you might want to try the small motel in Somerset, WI. It is only 8 miles from stillwater on 64. Do not know the people but they stay pretty full when tube season comes. 715-247-5487, 470 Main St Somerset, WI, 54025

    try the Royal Inn in Hudson WI
    715 386 2366. clean and inexpensive. it’s not the 4 Seasons but should be good enough for a fishing weekend
