    The Croix is rising pretty fast. With more rain in the forecast, we could easily expect her to rise another 1-2 feet.

    They post no-wake restrictions at 683′ and it looks like we may get there with the rain in the forecast. I was heading out this afternoon for a few hours. I’m going to chase some channel cats – I don’t expect much as the water temp is still pretty low but I just want to get on the water.

    Hey Suzuki – You hate those cruiser wakes too. No Wake would make for a nice quiet opener and as long as you would have to go slow you might as well troll there. That is why I like catfishing – I’m usually about the only one on the water most nights – at least after midnight anyway.

    Actually I was thinking of how good the fishing can be with early season high water and hopefully the no wake restriction will keep the number of boats down a little. Anything but wind. Please no high wind on opener!!! Just sunny skies, no wind, cool and turkeys gobbling on both sides of the river. Ahhhhhhhh That’s a perfect opener for me. I can already feel that sponge bite.

    I thought it was between Stillwater and Redwing? Dam tree keeps moving. Sounds like one of Briank’s catfish trees!
