Hi all
Things are getting a little slow everywhere with hardwater turning to soft. What we have heard is the St.Croix is still producing crappies in the 28 to 32 ft of water. Straight across from the Bayport beach on the Wisc. side for the brave men and women still willing to travel it. The ice from what we hear is about 6 to 12 inches. Sounds like it is very spotty. So be careful and check it well. The crappies are suspended and are hitting crappie minnows and white jigs with spikes. The real good news is the river is starting to open across the street from the bait shop, and north to the boom site. It appears, we have opening water from Afton heading south. It wont be long for you soft water fishing lovers to put those boats in the water.
Thanks for using Jimmys Bait
