    Anglers are getting some fish but the flurry type of bite that can happen on the Croix just hasn’t hit. I say this from what I have seen, heard, talked to other anglers, and know from the fact this year, nobody, has reported one good solid bite on any message boards which talks about the St. Croix.

    Often times the silence is defining, and there are enough anglers that love to report on a good ice bite, and this hasn’t happened – that tells me a lot.

    Knowing this I’ve targeted trophy eyes to no avail, and hit other fine area panfish lakes with good success though.

    That is good to hear about the ice. I was getting worried after two days above 50! I looked at the river today and it looked like we could have the boats out again!!!! Looks like it is getting cold this weekend so that is good news.

    Comancharo15 and fishhunter,

    From your look alike photos and seeing you both are from Stillwater are you guys brothers? The looks are very similar, similar such as how River eyes and Fabio appear to be twins, (both blondes, both European ancestry, both hits with the fairer sex, etc.).
