Hey guys. I need your help. I moved to Prescott, WI area this Fall and am anxious to learn some good ice fishing spots nearby. Any suggestions? I have been told there is some decent ice fishing for walleyes, sauger, and crappies out in front of beach at Prescott. I primarily target panfish over the winter months. Thanks in advance for any replies.

    Eyes,
there are some spots on the Vermilion River south of Hastings that can be multi species. some of those guys will prob chime in with some ideas there. On the Croix, be careful of any ice fishing on the river, as a general rule it is prob never safe ice on a river system.

Eyes, once the ice forms at the beach you will see many fish houses out there. The eyes and sauger bite can be good, throw in a few mudpuppies and sturgeon and you’ll have a fun day on the ice. I let others venture out there first, then I follow. As the winter sets in, you will be able to drive a truck out there. See you down there.

Thanks Jack & Ritt14 for your replies. I appreciate it. I can’t wait to get out on the ice as the power auger and vex are ready to go. See you on the ice.

No problem, if you still have a boat out, you should be able to catch some saug dogs under the bridges. Either jig and minnow, or 3 way stick baits. I might be down there today or tomorrow afternoon sometime, depends on the weather and if I decide to sit in a stand.
