Thinking about hitting the river today. My time will be limited. I’m leaning toward trolling around Hudson but I would kinda like to hit Prescott if things are happening. I’ll probably hit it Sat for sure. Anyone been in Prescott?

I’m not chasing the wing dam dream with this high water.

Prescott river reading was 679.5′ today. The St Croix was 682.5′ last Tuesday so she is down 3 feet in the last week and seems to be coming down about 6 inches a day from looking at the chart. The weather forecast looks pretty good with no significant rain forecasted. By this weekend water levels could be down closer to normal and we could have a pretty good wing dam bite going on.

I fished Prescott on Sat. night and Sunday morning (about 6 hours on the water). Put 8 fish in the boat. Mostly saugers. Trolling took them all. A 3-way with a #11 Rapala seemed to be something that saugers wanted. A few guys were doing well handlining. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I think I’ll save Prescott for this weekend and fish Hudson today. Just got the go ahead from the boss so I’ll be leaving extra early today. Anyone else going out today?

Just a heads up, the Hudson lakefront city ramp is open today.

I haven’t been on the croix for some time, but I plan on getting out this weekend between Prescott and Kinni. I’ll be in a white pro v with blue johnsons on the back. I plan on trolling 3 ways or long lining. Swing over and give a wave or say hello. I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting many of you. We can swap info.

Did ok around Hudson last night. Location dictated by high winds. I couldn’t fish where I wanted to but there was action. Best fish was an 18 eye. Kept 3. I’ll be realeasing to the grease tonight.
