High water – Sturgeon are biting!!

    The water is high, high and higher. The water temp was 52 degrees and very dirty and full of debris. I was surprised at all the cruisers out today – don’t those things need to come out of the water for the winter pretty soon. With the “No Wake” rules in effect it will take you a while to get anyplace but some fish are still biting. I picked up 4 sturgeon in a little over an hour today with the biggest a 56″ monster. This fish was an absolute gas to catch. I picked up all the fish on cut sucker in 40′ of water.

    I’m glad to hear they are turning on.. I might have to skip a day of duck hunting here very soon to try to hook into a few of those beast!

    The no wake might be ok for this week.. forecast temps in the 60’s.. I dont think the cruisers are going away quite yet

    I have some motor issues to address(gear shifter broke ).. if I get them taken care of, I will be out there soon!
