I’m seeking some advice regarding the St. Croix near Hudson. Despite growing up near Roberts, I have never fished the St. Croix below Osceola or above Prescott (I’m not particularly proud of that fact). I want to take my dad out next weekend to try for some walleyes and I was wondering if anyone had suggestions about where to go around the Hudson/Kinni area. I’m looking for a jigging or trolling bite. Any suggestions people could pass on would be appreciated. Thanks.

Marbles, the cold weather coming later this week should turn up the fishing for sauger/walleyes. There will probably be a good jig/minnow bite going this next weekend. Some of the sharper drops, points, and narrows will hold fish. It won’t be tough to see some of the better areas as a lot of people will be fishing the community areas. If you fish plastics at all they will work well also. I don’t troll too much so I can’t help you there, but I would think you will run into some of the bigger fish doing so.

Marbles? You have “accept Private Messages” turned off in your “My Home”.

You may get better info than what would be posted in an “open” forum…via a Private Message….

First of all, thanks to Briank for pointing out my private message setting. Secondly, I was able to sneak out on Monday south of Hudson. Was able to pick up one legal walleye and a couple of sauger in the morning near the Kinni. I absolutely would like to fish more down that way when the water isn’t so high.
