I was out last night on the lower Croix and it was deathly slow. Should have known better than to hit the first day of a major cold front. Whites weren’t even kicking up anywhere to speak of. Trolled for a while trying different depths. Crossed many a good mark but no hits. Paddle tails saved the evening on smallies. They love them. I used clear since it seemed to match minnow color the best. The fish absolutely engulfed those things. No monsters but I did get a 14 that thought he was 20.

Yeah I was out on a local lake 3 crappie and 3 bass, in like 3 hours, yesterday was a tough day for sure. I need to get out to the croix, I haven’t hit it all year.
