bayport xcel channel

    hey guys i was just wondering if the xcel channel in bayport is still open to fishing? ive driven by a few times recently and have seen no cars there where i used to always see a few at least…i havent been down there in a couple of years and was thinking of bringing a friend of mine down there this weekend…

    I was on the river last Saturday and noticed a handful of people fishing the discharge channel.

    It is open to shorefishing. I went past the outlet on Monday evening and it was lined with people fishing.
