Fronconia

Any one been up north of still water lately. We made it over to Franconia yesterday afternoon. Not much fishing going on. Spent more time floating around in the river with the kids than anything. Water temps are great. Was able to catch a few smallies on jigs and crawlers that I let set on bottom while we swam. Looks like I might have to plan a more serious fishing trip for saturday morning. At least until it gets to hot. Then its back to sitting in the water watching canoes going by.

Fornt seat is open for saturday morning if anyone wants to get out. It will be early. Planning on putting the boat in around 5.

Did make it out yesterday. It was a little later than 5 am. Had a good time fishing then swimming again in the afternoon. Soaked crawlers and jigs on the bottom around some rock piles and log jams. Caught a good mixed bag of fish. Mostly smallies. A few walleyes and some rough fish. Finding fish was pretty easy. It didnt seem to pay to hang out in a spot to long if there was no action. Just keep moving.
Im not a big smallmouth fisherman but these fish yesterday where all putting on a good show. Lots of jumping. Even talked to one couple that had one bounce off the side of the canoe while she picked the lure out of the water. Lots of fun.
