Hit the river both saturday and sunday morning. Caught a few walleyes and a bunch of smallies. Also caught a few silvers and channel cats. I mainly fished with crawlers lindy rigging, but also caught some bass tossing a floating rapala twitching it on the surface. Seemed to get one walleye here and one there, no big schools of fish. I noticed almost every where I went there were minnows near the surface. It seems there has been a large hatch that is swimming around right now. The smallies are having a blast chasing them around. Maybe that it what might be slowing the walleye bite, too much food right now? People using jig/minnow were getting a few smaller walleyes too. If you wanna fish smallies now is a pretty good time, though the bigger fish I caught were a little deeper as in 8-10 feet of water.

You had a much better outing than I did, I fished between Kinni and Prescott both mornings. I tried lindy rigging with leeches and crawlers, nothing. Switched to long lining cranks 15-25 ft. Still nothing. I started trolling a few wingdamns south of prescott, but the cruisers were out early both days. So that ended that. Ended up with a big old zero in the eye/sauger category. Plenty of sheepies and bass though.
