I was out last night for few hours and stayed till dark. This was a bad idea as the bloodsuckers were out in full force after sundown. I didn’t have the bug spray with, and so I was attacked. They weren’t bad at the launch, but it is only a matter of time. So don’t forget the bug spray if you stay till dark. Caught a couple bass, some sheepies, a 16″ sauger, and a 15″ walleye on crawlers that were all released to fight another day.

Wait until abut 11PM to go out. The mosquitos go to bed then until about 4AM. The dew wets the wings and they can’t fly.
