the croix thursday evening

    Hit the river last night around 6:15 and fished till 9. Caught a few walleyes using ringworms and nightcrawlers. The water clarity was down a little with the debris in the water. There wasn’t too much big stuff in the water but south of the kinni narrows there was enough small sticks and branches. It was just a nice night to be out, especially because I was able to not boat a sheepie!

    Were you casting to shore or jigging the bottom? How was the pleasure boat traffic?

    Sorry for the late reply Cougareye, I was casting the ringworms to shore. Pleasure boats weren’t bad thursday, but this weekend will be ridiculous.
