I drug some crawlers and minnows around the Kinni narrows last night for a few hours. Good action the first 15 minutes landing a 14″ Walleye and missing a couple bites. I picked up 6-7 more short Walleye, nothing over 15″. The wind was non-existant and a few rain showers fell between 5:00-6:30 pm. Anyone else make it out last night?

5 short ones from 0930 to 1100 in the windmill area then it was like someone flipped a switch. Only caught one more in the afternoon and quit by 3:30. Gonna figure out this river fishing yet.

I had 4 in the boat…all well over 15″ with the biggest 7 lbs. Just before the rain it was true MN in the boat. 1000’s of skeeters!

Hey Sandbar, We caught 2 legals last night fishing the channel and Afton. A couple of short ones too.

Have you seen the Coast Guard cruiser out on the river? Holy crap!!!!! We saw it first in Afton then up in the channel. That boat must be 36 feet long. I was surprise as heck when it got close to us and noticed the US Coast Guard signs and flags on the boat. I’m not sure why it is necessary for them to have a boat of that size on the river with 4 people on board on a rainy Tuesday night at the beginning of May. That baby probably cost us over $150.00 for gas for that short little cruise.

If you can’t tell, I am jealous as heck. Where does one go to school to work for the US coast guard. I would be happy to cruise around in a measley Lund or even a Crestliner.

I called them. I told them to look for a green Lund with an American flag. The offense? Giving out white bass fishing spots on this North American river.

OK Guys! Suzuki, Turk…and all the rest of you…I promise! I’ll never give out exact white/silver bass spots again. If I take a picture…I’ll blur the background.

    You guys can forgive…can’t ya?

PS Turk, was that you that I saw landing that 28 or so inch walleye by the Mallalu dam today? (j/k)
