I’m way behind. I have studying for a test so intently the last two weeks I have not even pre-tied a single snell. After Thur I’m home free. Boat works though. I’ve had that out a couple times. I just ordered a flat of crawlers Mon so they should be showing up today. Crossin Eye’s and I will be out there real early to get a good start. Good luck.

Thought you were dead…or was that hope? Not sure. Anyhow good to hear from you again.
April 27, 2005 at 1:38 pm #359743Good luck to everyone heading out Saturday. It looks like the weekend weather is going to be pretty decent. I think the bite will great like last year.
Suzuki – Where you launching at?
Sandbar
April 27, 2005 at 1:45 pm #359748Crossing Eye’s on the Croix!!
Leave some for me!
I’m likly to be in my ol’ spot fishing for a cat until the sun comes up… Wake me up when you come by…remember Suzuki..it’s a no wake zone!
April 27, 2005 at 2:27 pm #359758I’m coming up from Prescott. I plan on being one of the first at the landing.
April 27, 2005 at 4:19 pm #359786Im Thinking about leaving my boat out friday night and will start up in the afton area Cant wait… See you guys out there
April 27, 2005 at 4:19 pm #359787Sorry about your luck drawing Crossin’ as your partner!! He is a major pain in the boat. I had to baby sit him for two days last week. Watch him, he likes to go pee a lot, in the splash-well!!
April 27, 2005 at 7:32 pm #359829Well, it’s fishing time boys!!! I’ll startup in the hudson channel early then work my way down or up depending how the bight is…. With this cold weather, don’t forget the old jig and minnow, especially you boys fishing down in the Kinni narrows.. The water temp is droping and so is the level. I’ll be out all day so stop and have a with us. Good jiggin, riggin and trollin.
April 27, 2005 at 10:18 pm #359854I’m waiting until Monday, if I can take it that long. Then another old retired guy and I will give it a try in the poc boat. I’ll be launching at St Croix Bluffs Park so anything you guys learn over the weekend and care to share would be appreciated. Neither of us know the river.
April 27, 2005 at 11:17 pm #359873Has…I thought you gave up fishing!?
For those of you with a marine radio…we’ll be monitoring HAS’s secret channel 69.
April 28, 2005 at 8:41 am #359956I’ll be coming out of Prescott also and plan on staying on the river most of the day. Does anyone/everyone have a IDA sticker on their boat? I have to get one. Brian can you hook me up? I’ll be in a white lund pro v with a big yellow lab hanging off the front.
Swing on over or give a waveApril 28, 2005 at 11:31 am #359959I’ll have a black on clear decal with me on saturday. Normally I have a white on clear decal in the boat/truck all the time.
I was thinking of stopping in at the catfish bar about 2 pm on Saturday for a sandwich. Afton has the public dock and it’s just a walk over the dyke (how do you spell dyke any way?)
Anyone interested in stopping in?

Brian,
I thought you would be home by noon with your limit.
Did you say free beer at the Catfish at 2:00? I’ll see you there!Dean
P.S. Don’t ask them how to spell dyke at Lurks.
April 28, 2005 at 2:26 pm #359996Hey…I stopped in to Lurks a couple years ago after fishing. Started talking with Bonnie and she said she hadn’t been fishing or had a meal of eye’s in years…
The next day I dropped off 3 dandy filleted eye’s for her. She was so happy she gave me a bottle of champainge…which I didn’t want…but she insisted.
I didn’t make it there last year…I’m guessing a single would be around $7. now…cha ching!Dean, thanks for buying the beer at the Catfish…I’ll be thirsty by then…cleaning all those fish!
April 29, 2005 at 8:35 am #360211Hey, hey, hey, now that wasn’t me. You guys ever see a guy as green as cabelas guide wear. I have on Erie last week. Poor son of gun, he had a fever, flu like symptoms. I’ll give him this much, at least he had a minnow bucket to use.
My new signature will be, and I quote: “it was clean pinch”
I’m pretty sure the weather channel monitor gal on Erie is still laughing at that.
April 29, 2005 at 8:29 pm #360354I’ll give it up…It was Old Coot. When you see him logged in (pardon the pun) give him some crap! (man do I kill myself!)
