I know some of you are chasing the crappies this season, so here is an observation. The ice activity has been up within the last week on the Bayport pool, I haven’t fished it for crappies but more anglers are coming out. This means either A. No connection to fish activity and it’s just an increase of guys looking to meet and drink beer or B. they are biting better. You choose.
Plus Pool 4 is a very fun bite right now for good sized walleye.

I noticed the same on the Croix Turk (actually my wife brought it to my attention today).
Sportsman’s Wharehouse had the Croix listed with “slab crappies” up i Coon Rapids last sunday.
I saw a car out on the humps south of 94 today…no I wouldn’t be taking my car/truck out there.
So, the question of the day is: Anyone catching any crappies out there? Or ya all just catching a buzz? 
I was going to hit it this weekend, but got lazy and was playing with the boat.
Either way, the people out there are catching something! 
as in “a buzz”?
