Well I bet I’m not the only guy to get this massive tome of outdoor products from Cabela’s. Wow talk about the money they must have to send this thing out! Speaking of money when you have more green than you know what to do with go purchase the Van Staal Pliers that are on page 165, they’re only 314.00 dollars ha! Ha!
Pliers – just needle nose pliers, $314.00 I had to post about this. Anyway the walleyes are biting on the Croix and have been for a while, and for that fact on Pool 4 as well. We clobbered them on tuesday, it was very good down there especially for big saugers and nice eater walleye (on ringies 15 fow).

    Price: $279.00 – $314.00

    Van Staal Pliers
Van Staals are designed and built to be the finest – and last – pliers you’ll ever own. Titanium construction means no wear and no rust, yet they’re brutally strong and incredibly light. Replaceable tungsten anvil and cutters produce crisp, clean cuts of any line or wire material, even braided and gel spun lines. The new 5″ needle-nose model complements the original 6″ plier, and the original 7″ size with finger guards remains the ultimate plier for big game and big water. Leather sheath and clip-on coiled lanyard included.

    Great observation Turk!
Makes one think…I must be “donating too much $$$” to Cabelas to deserve this!

Good point – do you know how fast I would lose those pliers, but then I would have a reason to use that underwater camera that I dropped 4 bills for!
The coolest thing about those pliers is the name, I think I want to change my name from Turk to just Van Staal!

This was the first year I recieved one. Of course I promptly redeemed a gift cert that I had from X-mas. Just didn’t seem right not to order anything out of it.

Brian, finally a pliers worthy of a catfish. I expect to see and use one of these when we tangle with some whiskers.

    Jamie?

Bring an extra pair along for me…will ya?

My needle nose that I bought 2 for a buck at the dollar store work very well…as long as I keep using WD-40 on them.
