I have been so busy at work I have yet to leave work early and fish a weekday late afternoon. I think this is the week. Anything happening near Bayport? Are they driving upstream close to the discharge and fishing there yet? How about south of Hudson to Afton?
Anyone want to meet on the river this week? If I don’t hear some encouraging news I’ll probably just go panfishing elsewhere.
Although I haven’t been down to Bayport…I would suggest panfishing…unless you use Turk as a eye guide…
Maybe Wed or Thur I’ll try for crappies down there. It’s hard to roll the dice and more than likely get nothing there when I have a better chance fishing inland lakes.
We’ll see. I wonder if anyone is catching across from Afton? Last year there was a plowed road out there so I’m pretty sure there is fishable ice by now.
There’s a permenant shack on the edge of the open water in Afton…but it’s north of the break… doubt there’s much there…but mudpuppies. (Don’t let Steve know)
Seems kinda sensless to have a house that close to the edge of the ice…be in 50 feet of water…’spose there could be crappies there…but I’ve never heard of it….
Maybe he likes living on the edge?
