Fished upper Croix on Sat. Group caught 8 beautiful river ‘eyes, 15″ to 18″. All fish caught on 1/4 oz. jig/minnow, slo trolled, long line. All fish caught were male, most of them still spurtin’ sperm. Water temp/surface temp @ 47 deg., warmed to 50 deg., which I thought still quite cold. I think spawn was just recently completed because of milk fish and we caught 0 female fish. Fished for couple hours on Sun. morning, 3 male fish @ 12 -13 inches. Couldn’t find larger fish. All fish caught in 6-8 feet. Saw one other boat on river whole time there.
