saturday sauger bite

    Caught a few fish between hudson and afton today. Caught 7 sauger and kept 3 using jig/minnow and ringworms. Caught more than my share of sheepies. Damn things are feeding like crazy on ringworms and jig & minnow. Only caught one silver that went about 16″. Also caught an 11″ perch. Too bad you don’t run into more of these on the river. Anybody else do any good?

    Put the boat away….

    Those perch are elusive. I’ve caught one in 12 years…but I seldom jig.

    Heard some reports of 6 and 7 pound eyes coming in…

    The two people that caught them wouldn’t tell me ’cause they know I post ( ) too much!

    Brian,
    They won’t even give you a depth they caught them in? Glad somebody can find some big ones. Catfish not biting any more? Could be another 5-6 weeks before there is enough ice to get out on. How do you deal with not fishing that long?

    Boats in storage I have to rely on my friends for a boat ride…since I’ve started catfishing…no one…not even my dad talks to me

    Sooo…I’ve been practicing for the ice…caught one tonight…depth? Not to deep. I’m always willing to share my catch

    Ps now that I’m looking at the picture…I better make sure everyone knows it’s a smoked cisco
