Anybody know what Beanies is charging to launch now. A couple years ago they reduced their fees to $5 in early november. Just wondering if they might be nice to fisherman again and lower their fees. My 40 horse merc is a gas hog and with the high gas prices it might be less expensive or the same to just pay launch fee to fish around hudson or bayport and save time. I know, I know, should have bought a 4 stroke. Next time. Thanks for any info.

What nobody else fished this weekend. No reports! I went to Mille Lacs saturday but will hopefully be on the croix this friday. Good fishing to everyone.

FTA…I’m not sure about the Beanies fees…Seems to me that last year the ice was forming when they went to the $5. fee, working off of the honor system.

I’ve heard “good” reports from the I 94 bridge all the way down to Presscott. Nothing burning…but a good bite…with saugers being the most willing. ( I guess that would mean fish a little deeper ) I haven’t been out much for eyes, but when I have they’ve been found in 18 to 25 feet. I’ve been trolling cranks on the bottom. I have seen folks jigging and picking up fish too.

    Good Luck!

    James,

The fish weren’t jumping in the boat. Fished the north end to stay out of the wind a little. It kept blowing all night. Water temps in the 50-51 degree range. The neighbor got one that was 28-3/4, a 26, 24, 21, and 19.5 incher. I caught 3 that were 23 inches long. One with a dnr tag on it that was kind of beat up. We missed quite a few. They would hit the lure then be off right away. Probably missed a dozen fish that way. Had a couple get off about half way in also. 2 small northerns made it to the boat also. I thought there were only big ones in there.

    Brian,

Didn’t see any catfish caught. Sorry. Must not have had enough stinky juice on the lures.

Thanks for the reply and report fish them all. I’m headed north and should be on the water late tonight. And I’ll keep my eyes peeled for catfish Brian.
