Caught this Saturday afternoon in the midst of the pleasure boat navy just above Kinni. Gotta love it – took an hour and a half. She jumped four times. I love the St Croix!

    Steve!

I was going to post about the colors on the Croix…but not only does your photo show “some” of the colors…..it has a keeper (if anyone would) Sturgeon!

    Did you measure it?

How long did it take to bring’er in?

I was down above the kinni about 10am and seen another sturgeon being cought. It looked to be over 40 inches or so.This one did the same thing it jumped a couple times that we seen. The first time it got itself about 2 feet out of the water. I never thought they would jump that high. I have had them belly roll on me before but never seen anything close to that one saturday.

What did you catch that one on????

55″ I’m guessing 30 – 35 lbs. took an hour and a half to get it in. We had about 20 pleasure boats surrounding us watching the fight. Most stayed until the end. They gave us a pretty good cheer when I brought her into the boat then another when I let her go. Caught her on a very small willow spoon with a small fathead. Also caught a 8 or so lb flathead. She was pretty too! No walleyes or silvers.
