    just got my boat out of the shop and am going to hit the river tonite. what’s the scoop? crawlers still good. smallies still down at the Kinni? any good news out there?

    Good question. It’s been almost two weeks since I’ve been out there. Let us know how you did. I could use the help.
    How close are we to a “fall bite?” It’s going to drop below 50 in the morning pretty quick.

    I’ve was out a couple of time last week long lining raps between Kinni and Prescott. Both times ended up with 3 short saugers. Pulled spinner rigs with crawlers for a couple of hours with no luck. Can’t wait for the water to cool down a bit.

    I haven’t given it much thought. The first one was nice but a pretty poor showing so I kinda lost interest. The window of opportunity is shrinking now that the days are getting short and hunting season is here. I’m game though if something comes up. After this weekend I’m open the next two for some fishing. Weeknights are going to be tough for everyone since there isn’t much time between getting off work and dark. I really fall away from fishing this time of year with hunting. Boat storage may be as close as a month away. Then ice fishing!!! That is definitely a group sport. Drunkin IDA on ice. That will be awsome.
