Anyone having any luck on the Croix? Long lined some cranks around Husdon last week. We did not catch one fish, not even any stripe bass. 
Will be out again this week, probably try some live bait rigs.

smallies and silvers can be caught pretty readily out over open water, chasing the shad and bait around. Throw spoons, zips, poppers or spinners. they hold typically on the windward shorelines with steep breaks to hold the bait. we’ve been having fun with flyrods and white poppers as well. you can usually pick off 3-4 before you put them down, but stay in the area with concentrations and drift.
I was out last night for 2 hours. Pulled cranks, no takers. Hopefully with the weather change we are in store for this week will make something happen. Dang strange year.
I was out yesterday pulling cranks around the bluffs.Olny one walleye,a mooneye,2 smallies and a white bass.No pattern they hit all 3 colors I had out.16-20 fow was the depth I was in and olny spent about an hour and a half trying.Hope to get out towards the end of the week.
