We fished from 6 to noon. Same area, why change when the fish are still there. We started with worms but could’t keep the sheepie off the hook. After changing to fatheads it was a 1 to 4 ratio between sheep and walleyes. We did manage to catch a few white bass and small mouth. This year is better then last year as far as catching short walleyes. Last year the same area did not produce a walleye over 15 inches for us. This will be my last trip as far as keeping walleyes for the table. When the water gets warmer the fish start tasting “fishy”. My rule is if you know its fish when you eat it, no matter what kind then I dont eat it.

With the high water the walleyes will be in that area for a while. I remember I fished until July last year with all the rain we had.

Usually I fish the Kinni narrows after the water goes down. With the high water I can’t seem to catch a walleye at the narrows. I’m hoping for high water through June so I can keep fishing the same area. I live in Hudson. That should give everyone an idea that doesn’t know where the community spot I’m referring to. Good luck.

Or they could just look for the 3-4 boats parallel parked there every weekend…..

I’ve always fished the Croix shallow in high water. Like two three feet.

I would think Cannery Point would be good about now since that brush is covered with water.
