The river is wide open from Boomsite north and starting to come up pretty fast. Water went up a foot in the last 24 hours. Today’s river elevation is 679.1′ (normal stable river elevation is 675.5′) which is about 3 1/2′ above normal pool elevation. It is creeping up on the islands and I expect them to be under water by the weekend. Forecast is 682.3′ by Wednesday April 16th. River goes to No Wake Restriction at 683′. Water temp today was 40 degrees.

Just got back from Mille Lacs area tonight and Duluth last weekend, still lot’s of snow to melt and the ditches had rivers flowing through them everywhere, surprised it’s not going up ore than that

Theres are piles and piles of snow to the north yet to melt and head south.
Add any rains, and my bet is it’s going to go alot higher than what that projected graph shows.

Look out. Steve is going to start racking up points in the KOTC.

I’m hoping a september trip with Brad Durick will help me stay in the competition
