I have the itch bad ( not that kind ). what would be your guess as when the river will be fishable? I have not had time to journey over to take a look.

    Thanks for your general awesomeness!

I was just down to Beanies and the launch is froze in tight but the open water is out about 100 yards and calling my name. It is open from just south of the Bridge up to the swing bridge. The Excel King Plant is shutdown so there is no warm water coming out of the plant. That will probably contribute some to a later ice out.

Everything is still froze solid above Stillwater. I’m guessing it will be about the 20th of April if we get a good warm early April but don’t hold your breathe for that to happen.

I’ve got the bug bad too. Come on Spring!!

4/21, I got a feeling things will heat up quickly this year.

Remember, tons of snow goes quick, weighs down the ice and retards the creation of thick ice during the cold months. We will be OK.
