Anyone night fish the Croix lately, after this weekend and the “bad” fishing I had, I need a fix of some decent fishing, just wondering if you guys think it’s worth my time, of course this doesn’t solve any issues of where I could launch/load at these times… I’d like to do a morning run, but I have an appointment at 10:30 which throws that idea out, atleast for tomorrow.
I don’t know about a night bite, but I have a buddy who swears by the evening bite, from 6:00 right up until dark.
My friend just got in about an hour ago with 4 dandy eyes..from 8 until dark is the magic hours.
I heard of some very respected fisherpeople say that about 2 hours after sundown the bite picks up again…and I can’t believe that the eyes..just don’t eat at night….but I’ve trolled in from catfishing and many differant hours and have never personally caught an eye after dark.
We need someone to “write the book” on eye fishing at night on the Croix…up for a challenge?
