Beanies River Rat tourney is this Saturday. This is a fun inexpensive tournament for a good cause. Most everyone goes home a winner. Meal provided afterwards

    See you there

I’m really looking forward to fishing the Beanie’s tournament this weekend. Missed the last couple of years but all of the previous tournaments were a real hoot. Good cause, good people, good food, good prizes, and good fishing. What more could you ask for?

Good chance i’ll be on the river and in that area saturday. I just scanned through their website and cannot find any rules about the contest.

Things like Prices, live/dead fish, etc..

If it’s not too much money and i don’t need to spend too much time off the water or have to launch at beanies i’ll probably participate…I suppose you can’t weigh a sturgeon as they are C&R only which would be what i will most likely be fishing for.

Any details..appreciated. Or i can just call beanies too.

Have they cleaned up the rules to eliminate the support of un taged sturgeon in the contest?
Your link was an advertisement rather than actual rules bk. You know the issue here.

This year you catch all the weighable fish. I will catch every other species just like last time on Pepin. It will be fun to be back after a couple year hiatus.

Weed, you need to stop drinking when your typing.

“Support of untagged sturgeon”? What’s that?

I support the DNR tagging sturgeon.

Have to assume you are asking if somebody can bring in a Sturgeon that they do not have a possession tag for. The answer is no.

The last time I fished the River Rat they specifically said that if you cannot possess the fish legally it will not be allowed in the contest.

Ah…that makes sense. Same as a walleye under 15″.

    Thanks Dale.

The bite must not have been that great if years past photos are posted

Thats a old photo because the rain soaked everyone and in that pic the weather looks a total opposite of what it was that day. Though it was fun.

Pretty sad when you cant get RR tourney results on this forum. That has never happened before.
