My 1st one of the season. About 30″s. Hit a H20 jig with half a crawler. made my afternoon to catch him as they where jumping all over the place. Caught him about a half mile north of Copas. Would of liked to had caught more but that was my last crawler.

I managed 6 of them today near Bayport. Biggest was 45″. Sorry no pics but all came on fatheads because I forgot the crawlers at home.

Matt, let me know if and when you plan on going next weekend. I am pretty sure I’ll be getting out with someone or a group of people.

Few pontoons and jon boats. More kayaks than anything else.

Sounds good. Right now it looks like Saturday morning and afternoon is out, but the rest is open. I’ll let you know.

Sundays usually are perfect for me. And I’ve seen enough Viking football for the season.

    Mike,

Did you use the snorkel and mask to locate good structure first?

That stuff is for break time between fishing. going to rig up a rod holder for my inner tube next summer.

Wife and kids where on the beach swimming. I just parked the boat out in front of them where all the sturgeon where jumping.

Do you recommend circle hooks or J-hooks? if you use a jig do you just let it sit on the bottom? Thanks!
