Started fishing this morning around 6 at the kinni narrows. Caught a dozen short walleyes and some smaller sauger on minnows lindy rigged. The sheepies were hungry today as well. Tried fishing in the 19-25 foot range with no legal fish. Tried fishing north of the prescott channel also where I picked up most of sauger. Heard a few decent ones were caught in the channel in the morning. Didn’t sound like anybody was catching too many big ones today. Also tried fishing for smallies north of the kinni on the shorelines with a tube. Caught a few with the biggest a 15″er.
Who was the first one at the Bluffs launch. I thought the gate did not open till 6? I arrived a little before six and the gate was open. Are they opening sooner now?
Also heard all the big ones were biting yesterday. Of course, why would they bite today.

Next time your in that area, try the same lindy rig but in 5 to maybe 9 feet of water…even if you don’t get into eyes, you should get some smallies…
