    Anybody have any idea where a guy can find some jumbo leeches around the Hudson area?

    Place the pin bone strips from your slimers in shoreline rocks when you turn the canoe over and go there with your leech locker in the middle of the night. The sea gulls should have the leftovers cleaned up by oatmeal time–if the spotted leopards didn’t show up you’ll have make do with freeze-dried.

    Here in the Valley of the Billion Dollar Boondoggle mud puppies constitute a highly viable alternative. Hope you managed to freeze some with embedded #2 fast-strikes during the run last fall, along with your dead Shriners and suckers.
