We fished the Taylors Falls area this morning, the water temp. was 42. We couldn’t buy a bite and we saw nobody catch a fish all morning, so we packed up had drove to Prescott, the water temp. was 52. It was a nice afternoon on the water but we only got one smallie and a sheephead. I’m not sure if the fish are spawning or there done. Maybe some of you guys that actually caught walleyes could shed some light on this, eggs or no?

temp was around 45-46 in hudson. based on what I saw in our nets yesterday, Id say theyre either just about to or are in fact dropping their eggs and milt. any fish that was sexually mature was leaking all over the boat. hope that helps a little.

We had found 45 in a back water near Osceola. Would imagine its much warmer now. That sun should warms things up fast. With temps rising and hopefully the grass/leaves in the river clearing up this week would guess we should be in for a pretty good bite very soon. Might have to try and make it back over to Osceola some evening after work this week.
