In-laws and crappy weather kept me off the ‘Croix this last weekend.
Anybody spank any smallmouth of any size? I got down to the banks a couple of times and could only manage some small ones.
I really haven’t heard of anything with any size caught yet. With the water temps hovering around 60 degrees I’m hoping for some warmer weather.

I’m having some heavy withdrawal from not fishing all weekend. Out tonight to chase the bronzebacks. Still a little cool for my favorite presentation.

I hear ya. I didn’t make it out either. Worked on boat though. New plugs, gas filter, wash, wax and vacuum. Now I just need to get it dirty again! I might make it out tomorrow.

Somehow I got my father-in-law to help me shampoo the carpet and vacuum the boat. Fishing strictly artificials tonite so it should stay clean.

    How did you do SteveO?
I’m going to get out early for a cat an when the sun comes up work on an eye or two…but if there’s no wind. I’m hitting the shoreline with the ol’ fly rod for (I hope) some smallie action.

    Is it done raining?

    slow..
the water seems like it’s just about out of the banks. tried some timber and rocks, a few small ones. My neighbor however caught the first and second walleye of his life. That was fun to see.
