Got the opportunity to take my Pastor out fishing yesterday,I wanted to see if he had an in with the BIG fella. Apparently he does, we ended up with 10 nice walleyes for the day. Started out trolling Shads and picked up 4. than switched over to a minnow on a plain hook with a small splitshot. We should have switched over to the minnow rig earlier. We tried everywhere from the Kinni to Prescott and ended the day there. All in all had a great day despite the rain and wind.

Sounds like the southern part of the river did protty good on monday. TBO/MN and myself tryed a few ares around the apple river. It was pretty slow for us. On the first trolling pass Joe boat a nice 17″ eye on a crank bait. That was it for walleyes. We did manage a few other fish on live bait and jigs. I am hoping to get back over to this part of the river in the next week or so and do some more looking around. Lots of water for them eyes to be hiding in.
Anyone else spend much time on the river between marine on St croix and the high bridge?
