The only good thing about today was the morning was very nice. The water is up quite a bit from the last time I went out on the 22nd of may. When I backed my trailer in at the bluffs parking lot I did not get to the steep drop at the end of the ramp. There were a few sticks and branches in the water today, but not bad. Fished the kinni narrows all morning and I only caught 3 walleyes on leeches. Caught a 15.5 and 15 between 8:30 and 9. Did not get the third fish till 1 pm. Caught a few sheepies and one small sauger. Tried crawlers for a bit, but the sheepies love those too much. Saw a few white bass and eyes caught on a jig and minnow today. Unfortunately I am not proficient at fishing the higher water on the croix. Still on the learning curve. I am thinking the shallow shoreline bite might have been better. Wondering if anybody put together a pattern today.

Hey FtA! We are all on the learning curve someplace. I didn’t get on the Croix today as planned. I’ve heard of some good luck lindy rigging with a worm on the WI N of the Kinni…don’t know for a fact.

Welcome and Thanks for sharing. We are ALL on a learning curve as we will never know it all. Thats why its called fishing and not catching. But we ALL learn from each others sharing so everyones imput is very important to learning about catching fish. Thanks, Bill
