The need to fish out weighed my need to stay dry so it was back on the water for me today. Made two trips to Osceola today with my morning trip being the better one for eyes. The crank bait bite was dead this morning. Sheepies where all oveer the crawlers. A quick switch to crappie minnows and the eyes where on. Anchoring up on key spots and dead sticking was what they wanted.
Water temps are still a little low. 59 in the main channel and a little over 60 in one of the back lakes. Water levels are looking good. Not to high for this time of year. Just looks like we need a little warmer water.
Looks like maybe marine on st croix in the morning if the rain stays away. Hoping to get into some backwater trolling down there.
