I’m beginning to wonder if all the ice will be gone by opener? I’m sure it will but its only 3 weeeks away and there is still a lot of ice.

I didn’t say the snow will be though…. Lost two pool four guide trips this week so far due to the weather.

I am looking forward to the Croix waters again.

Open water today both sides of Stillwater Bridge.Coupla days ago an ice island from upstream carrying a complete muskrat lodge (invasive species?) was lodged up against the Wisconsin bridge piling. Cheer up guys, the cranes are migrating, the herons are back and there were two heads in the osprey box at 45 degrees no. on the south edge of Bayport yesterday.

I guess the benefit of the late spring, it isn’t going to go far.
