I went out on Tuesday night after the wind went down (somewhat). Picked up one 17″ pulling raps from 14 to 25 feet at 8:30 pm. I seldom hook an eye at dusk…but I did that day!

Set up for Cats and did some work until 11 p.m. Didn’t have a sniff!

There were a couple boats working jigs until very late…past dark. Because of the wind, I couldn’t hear if they had any luck.

Brian, are you imitating the fish, or is the fish imitating you?
Nice catch, I haven’t seen hide nor hair of a walleye this week. I was out on Wednesday night, surface water temp 58.6. Looks like I have to try harder.

Ritt…where have you been going? The Hudson channel was working pretty good today for numbers….just no size. I did talk to one fella that had his stringer out…forgot to ask him if the were 15 inches or better
    I didn’t have much luck in the Afton channel…one sauger..one eye…but again…too small.

I was on a mission today, which didn’t include eye fishing…but when I went through the two channels…it’s hard to not toss out a rap. It seems as though every day is differant lately…but give the Hudson channel a try…there has to be a 15 incher in there somewhere!

Ps I just got done with a lip lock on the fish when the picture was taken…

Hey Brian, I usually stay south of Kinni. Last week we found a nice crappie spot that was kicking out nice pies all week. So the walleyes took a back seat. Now those holes haven’t put out fish for a couple of days, so back to the eyes. I slip bobbered sat. night on a sand/rock transition, picked up 4 sauger/walleye mix. The wind was just right, so that was working. Last night was up in the kinni narrows, 2 small saugers, nice big white bass, and of course sheephead. All in all beautiful evening on the water. I forgot the digital camera to take a picture of my fishing dog, or should I say the dog that knocks out the trolling motor plug, the dog that is always sitting on the net when you need it, the dog that comes running when you set the hook to get a look at what you have, then try to lick it while you are taking the hook out.
I wonder why I bring him along all the time?

Sound like you and Rover have a good time! I would bet those ARE the reasons you bring him along…

I was in the Kinni last night from around 9:00 to real late. It was a fantastic day to just be out on the water….Heck, I don’t even thing being sprayed by Suzuki could have damped the day….

Sounds like you did have some action…I spend about an hour this morning fishing the Afton channel…one 16 in sauger and 2 short bites….I’m going to have to start concentrating!
