Bridge work

Many of you know that the I94 bridge is getting worked on. In particular the north bridge. Don’t hang under that north bridge for long because believe it or not there are pieces of concrete hanging off the bridge dangling there being held on by a piece of rebar. Now I know that rebar is strong but just look up and you’ll likely get the same “don’t come loose and fall” feeling. This concrete was dangling in parts where the hammers where already done hitting…?

Turk you are correct.I am an Iron Worker and was fishing in the 494 area last week. With all the work going on in this area there is no way for any one to feel safe. With all the precautions the contractors take, it can never be safe.Just like on the job ,your only job is to make it home to your family safe.If a marble size rock fell from the height of the 494 bridge it could kill you or hurt you enough to permminetly injure you. So please don t spend time in this area.

Holy Cow, I was thinking the same thing as we went under on Saturday. Some huge chunks are blowing in the wind just dangling from a chunk of rebar. We scrammed out of there when large chunks were falling into the barge (and missing it) Too noisy and looks mighty dangerous! It doesn’t look legal
