Another banner crappie year on the croix…

2011 – 2012 ice fishing for craps was better than the previous last six years…me thinks it happens again.

    Peace,

Agreed, and I would also like to find where all those pesky sunfish hide in the winter that keep stealing my nightcrawlers fishing for marbleyes in the open water.

Count me in! They eat just as well if not better than a crappie imo! And it will keep my crawler on the hook longer come spring!

I have a suspicion where they might be in Hudson. But if found there lots of prying eyes will give up the location.

I have caught a few near the rocks on the bayport side, but not enough to keep me in the area long. I’m wondering if a lot of the lookers are sunfish, and not crappies or walleyes.

I got two nice messes around Hudson this summer. Just need to figure out where they winter.

I have found the lookers and bait stealers are often the little white bass.
