I don’t frequent the St. Croix much except for sturgeon season coming up shortly, but I was thinking of heading out this weekend to try for a variety of species. I was looking at launching at Beanies, or the St. Croix Bluff landing. What would you recommend? Any tips on what works best for this section of the river for smallies or walleyes? Thanks in advance for any input you can give me.

    Rschmidty,

Lindy rigging is tried and true, worked well for me last week. Trolling crank baits is the other go to presentation. In fall jigging is go to as the drop deep.
