Either fishing is really good, really bad, or everyone is really tight lipped with the Walleye League in motion.

    Well… which one is it?

With the water going down, and the ‘classic’ summer bite approaching I thought I would see a lot more activity on the St. Croix board.

Maybe everyone is fishing pool 3 this year?

I was out on Sunday. First time on the Croix this year so it was nice to be back out. I hit my usual haunts from Hudson to Afton and found the bite to be pretty good.

Steep breaks had the better fish, with depths of 18-24ft being the most productive.

Tried to get a spinner and trolling bite going, but most of the fish we boated wanted it slow.

Between the weather and now that guy drowning yesterday it kinda took the wind out of my sails. I cant see myself fishing near Hudson this week.

Went fishing last Friday. Caught 20+ walleyes and kept 6 within my personal slot limit (15-19). 18 – 22 ft of water on crawlers. Lots of under 15s out there.
