At 83′, does the river automatically go to no wake, or will the dnr put out a press release somewhere?
yeah, we’re f’ed for a while. I just drove past the hudson launch and that’s not looking good, well into the parking lot.
As of 4:00 am it was at 82.04. Should be no wake by the end of the day
Good luck to law enforcement trying to make this stick on Memorial Day.
They said on Fox 9 that it was definitely no wake.
At least someone is trying to get the word out.
The DNR that checked us today apparently does not know the rules then as he had no problem running his dual 200hp engines up and down the river at near full throttle checking fishing licenses and live wells
5:10 a.m. 5/29
River is at 83.43 which means no wake. Hopefully the water goes down as fast as it came up
The river isn’t suppose to peak until this coming weekend. The Hudson launch won’t be open for a couple weeks. Looks like at least the first week of the league will be under no wake restrictions.

Will discuss this at the meeting on Sunday night

The revenue from a reasonable non-res yearly launch pass would have come in handy about now…..

They didn’t even bother yesterday, everyone (myself included) was up on plane.
Any update on this? I assume it will still be no wake this weekend, but will the river be safe, and will there be a couple fish to catch?
still no wake still at 685.58 and climbing slowly still, always fish to be caught just takes a little bit longer right now to get there. River will be as safe as usual, watch out for the floating debris and be scared of what you can’t see…
you might be surprised on how good the fishing can be out there when the water is high. good luck. boat in shop getting prepped for Canada or I would certainly be out there.

You should give us a preview of what we can expect Sunday night, as my fishing partner and I were discussing this today and were wondering what, if anything, changes with the high water.
I imagine a lot of trolling out from the landing
Just dont forget to pay Hudson launch fee. Oh that’s right. The landing is still closed.
Yeah landing is closed 95% of the parking lot was under water when I drove by after work.
Sunday will just be a league meeting of rules, pictures and what not. Looks like we will be under a no wake and will be launching out of North Hudson which sucks becuase there is little parking. The marina in Bayport will be open if anyone wants to “putt” across the river. I am guessing the Croix will be under no wake the 1st week
FYI- Windmill Marina…
If the forecast for the Mississippi is correct, the Croix will start dropping on Wednesday.
The Croix has been dropping since saturday, might even have the no wake lifted for next weekend.
i was surprised by the scum line in the parking lot of launch how much it has went down.. keep her going. it’s really high
What an absolute pleasure to be out there now. Bascially had the water to ourselves and found fish. I wanted some meat in a bad way and we took 3 nice eyes last night in a short time. Fish fry!!!!!

Where did you launch out of? Is the landing in Hudson open again? Hydrologic measurements have the river under 83…
