Unless we get a large amount of rain soon this will be one of the lower water openers that I can remember.
I do remember saying this before and then whoosh rain rain rain, high rising dirty water…Hard to tell which way it will go? I will say that I know I love the high water on opener vs. low.
    Anyway just a few thoughts..

I hear we are supposed to get some t-storms this weekend.
Let’s hope so. It’s looking like the ‘Croix is July-like low or worse.

Water levels are deffinatly like June/July. To those that plan to travel the river anytime soon, the Green/Red bouys ARN’T out yet. Which means dangerous shallow water structures are unmarked.
I spent the evening sitting on the deck watching 2 pleasure boats trying to get un-stuck from the Afton sandbar But seriously, if you planning to be out anytime soon, be careful

Like Turk had mentioned, high water usually means good fishing on the Croix. Without any significant rain, the bite could be a bit off come opener

TURK! Haven’t heard from you in a while…I thought you bought a bait shop!

The lawn could use some rain too. I haven’t had to start the mower for the wife yet….

My vote is for high water also. That chicken has been doing the rain dance for the last few days for me with no luck.
Those water levels last year where pretty nice in my opinion.
