It was a bad year for me last year only made the croix 5-6 times and never headed up North after opener. So where exactly is the checkpoint I heard they moved it down by the hi bridge? Is it down to the no-wake where the toilet used to be?
Thats a great stretch up there around the bridge I’d hate to lose it!

They set up camp directly below the soo line bridge. They got a floating dock ,anchored to river bottom. Yes you still can make the trolling run up the mn. side of the channel along the island. Wont much matter if we dont get some snow or rain this spring, the river will be so low you will need a jet drive!
Whew! That was a close one 
If you launch up stream…Copas or Wm O’Brian you can still go anywhere above the checkpoint right?

I am pretty sure that you can. But remember that it is a no wake zone up there. I launch at copas a lot but you will need 4X4 to get in and out of that launch!!
